Who am I sponsoring?
Through this special program you will have the opportunity to sponsor a family that lives under dire circumstances. These families include widows with young children, orphans, disabled children and parents with medical conditions. They stay in unfurnished and uninsulated shelters that get freezing cold in the winter. The dampness also causes mold, which leads to even more medical complications.

What does a sponsorship include?
This depends on the family you choose to sponsor. Some families have no white goods (washing machine, fridge/freezer). Others require hearing aids for their children who suffer from hearing loss. Some may need furniture or blankets to get through winter. Click on "choose a family" to see what each family needs and how you can help them.

Where do the families stay?
All the families sponsored by Wipe the Tears live in deprived areas in Antakya, Turkey.

How can I sponsor a family in need?
Option 1: Click on "Sponsor a family" at the bottom of the page to sponsor a family at random. You can then choose to make a one-off donation or set up a payment plan to sponsor a family for a longer period

Option 3: Contact us to speak to one of our volunteers to discuss a personalised sponsorship plan.
Option 4: Set up a standing order through your own bank account and reference it as family sponsorship. Please bear in mind that we will not be able to provide you with reports for your sponsorship due to lack of contact details. If you prefer to stay anonymous, this might be the best option for you
